An angel here beside me,
Sent to Earth to guide me,
An angel always present,
To love and care for me.

Your granddaughter Momo

A famous writer once said “We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give”. If that is true, then mama made a great life. She was the most giving person I’ve ever known. Mama was very active at Church. She devoted many hours to volunteering and was known for cooking a storm for those that needed care. She felt it was necessary, and that's the type of person she was. I asked family and friends to tell me what they remember most about mama. We felt it best to leave it for everyone to share here. There are simply too many moments to remember, and that's how we will continue to cherish her memories and her spirit. There's never a good time to go, but we are grateful for having had her in our lives. I certainly look forward to the day we will be with her again. Above all, mama believed in family, and that clearly shows with how we have all always stayed united. That's her legacy that we hope will never be undone. So back to the quote - as cheesy as it sounds, mama always also said “you get out of life what you put into it.” Like a wise poet, those are words of wisdom that I will always cherish. Finally, a poem we would like to share: Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you wake in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. Mama, thank you for being part of our lives. We are all going to miss you. - Your granddaughter, Momo
