As people modernize and family sizes become smaller, traditional rituals have become less relevant and gradually simplified over the years. Some of the customs and practices are still carried out as families take on suggestions as directed by funeral directors or instructed by family elders. One of the reasons why people are generally still uncomfortable attending a funeral is because they are not sure what to expect, what to do and what to say.
